Health and Safety at Yoga Spa Lounge 1881: COVID-19 Policy 

Here at Yoga Spa Lounge 1881, your health and safety is our top priority. Our mission as a studio is to help you to reconnect to your best self through spa treatments and intentional yoga classes that will make you the happiest and healthiest version of yourself. 

 

As we reopen our doors, we are going above and beyond to ensure your health and safety by taking the following measures:

Vaccination Policy​

  • At this time, we are requiring that all students, instructors, and therapists be fully vaccinated to attend Yoga Spa Lounge 1881 indoors.

  • In alignment with NYC City vaccine mandate, we have begun to ask to see proof of vaccination upon arrival. This is a one-time requirement that we will notate on your account, 

  • Acceptable proof of vaccination includes:

    • Original CDC vaccination card ​or Photo that matches your Photo ID

    • NY Excelsior Pass or Covid Safe App on smart phone

    • Printout of Excelsior Pass

    • A record of vaccination from the healthcare provider that administered your vaccination

  • Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this time together. We endeavor to find greater health adn peace of mind, and take care of each other in the process.

Studio Protocol ​

  • We will check the temperature of all clients when they come into the studio. 

  • Masks will be required when walking around the facility and can be removed during spa treatments and yoga classes if fully vaccinated.

  • We will ensure proper social distancing throughout the studio with floor markers. 

  • All personal items will be stored in a small locker. Please be mindful to only bring what you need.

  • We are not allowing any bicycles, scooters or strollers in the studio. They must be left in the hallway. 

  • Everyone must wash hands or sanitize upon entry.

  • All classes and spa treatments must be booked in advance online or by phone. No walk-ins at this time.

  • We have water bottles available for purchase ($3) or you are welcome to bring your own. Water refills are not allowed at this moment.

Spa Therapy/ Massage Treatments:

  • Spa therapists will be required to wear masks at all times during treatment. 

  • Spa therapists will change and clean their uniforms after each treatment. 

  • Spa rooms and all equipment will be deeply cleaned sanitized with UV light in between treatments.

Yoga:

Outdoor Classes

  • We are offering outdoor yoga classes on our beautiful balcony. 

  • Classes will be capped at 6-8 people, depending on the needs of the class, to ensure social distancing.

  • Classes will be contact-free which means the instructor will only give verbal alignment cues and will not be doing any hands-on assistance at this time.  

Indoor Classes​

  • Classes will be capped at 12-15 students, depending on the needs of the class, to ensure social distancing 

  • Classes will also be contact-free, with only verbal alignment cues from the instructor, and no hands-on assistance at this time.

Cleaning 

  • Yoga Spa is committed to a deep cleaning and disinfecting regimen of our entire studio after each class. 

  • We are steaming our mats and disinfecting them after each usage.

  • We are covering props (bolsters) in white pillowcases and washing the coverings after each usage.

  • When you enter class, you will find spaces measured out for you throughout the studio, please set your mat up in a designated spot to ensure social distancing.. 

  • There is an additional rental fee for mat of $3, though you may bring your own. ​
