Bri has been practicing yoga since she was a teenager to help herself rediscover safety and trust in her body after years of battling chronic pain, illness, and trauma during childhood. Yoga also provided Bri with the practice of meshing the duality between containment and boundless freedom when movement became centered around performance and perfection as she trained and performed in the professional dance world.
Bri has always felt deeply connected to her spirituality. As a child, she had a deep and vast emotional world and believed in the infinite possibilities of energy, divinity, and connection. It has been a lifelong dream of Bri's to teach movement, yoga, and somatics and to lead spaces where people can enter into somatic awareness and healing. Bri received her 200-hour YTT from The School of Yoga Institute in the Sacred Valley of Peru in 2022. She primarily teaches Vinyasa yoga inspired by her training in Ashtanga, Katonah, and Hatha techniques.
Alongside teaching, Bri holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and works as a Clinical Psychotherapist helping adults struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, intimacy challenges, and more. Bri has a boundless passion for how the body can exist as an entryway into the psyche and our ever-changing minds, and for how we can work through movement and breath to open our hearts and to align with our true authentic nature. Bri feels grateful to have dedicated her life to sharing the ancient teachings of yoga, to facilitating spaces of healing for others, and to being a lifelong student.
